Biography

Samia Errazzouki received her M.A. in Arab Studies with a concentration in history at Georgetown University. Her research focused on the history of state formation in Morocco, as well as gendered political economy in the Maghreb region. She is a co-editor at Jadaliyya and began as a freelance writer with the Associated Press (AP) in September 2015, based in Rabat.  Since writing for the AP, Samia has covered the UN Libya talks, security-related issues, as well as human rights, among other topics.  Her writings have also appeared on multiple other print and online publications, including the Journal of North African StudiesForeign PolicyThe GuardianAl Jazeera, and Courrier International, among others.
